We are an online, independent and student-run provider for educating Accounting.

Our History

Pre-2016

Our founder, Thomas, enjoyed maths at school and liked solving real-life problems. His interest in Accounting started when he chose it as an A-level at college. Thomas had a really passionate and engaging teacher for Accounting. This only strengthen his interest in Accounting. And as a result, Thomas then decided to study a Degree in Accounting and Finance at University.

3rd January 2016

Halfway through his first year at University, Thomas wanted to help others through what he had studied. Over the winter break he set up a YouTube channel called The Accounting Student. The purpose was to create videos to help others learn the basics of Accounting.

Released our first ever video onto YouTube.

Thomas, our founder, graduated from University with a degree in Accounting and Finance. After finishing University, he decided to focus on his passion for Accounting and Education by spending more time on The Accounting Student.
